Alright girls! Stop avoiding the topic. The C word – Cellulite is here to stay.

Read these tips to cope with this unsightly stuff so that you can start thinking about life beyond cellulite.

Cut back on your salt intake. A good way to avoid nasty cellulite is to stop eating salt.
Because salt absorbs water it can cause you to retain water in your own body. Limiting the salt in your diet will enable you to lose water weight and make cellulite becoming a problem less likely.

Fat should not be consumed. Here’s the deal about cellulite: you need to stop eating to stop it building up in your system! Fatty food will cause cellulite to deposit in your legs and lower areas like hips and bottom. So instead of pigging out on burgers, make a healthy selection, such as a salad. Your hips will definitely be grateful for your efforts.

Learn the truth about cellulite creams. Some people claim to have amazing results from cellulite creams. But it’s not the cream that’s making that cellulite disappear – it is the act of rubbing and massaging that cream into your legs. If you massage the areas where it is most likely to occur like your legs and hips it may loosen the cellulite. But you may run the risk of breaking your blood capillaries which will be just as ugly as cellulite.

It will take time. Cellulite has not arrived quickly and so it is not going to disappear overnight either. Get real about the results – it will still take around 6 weeks for you to start noticing a difference with how much cellulite is there, and it won’t completely disappear even with the best behaviour. Your realistic goal will be to reduce the cellulite you currently have.

Get the blood flowing. It is believed that a good loofah sponge can be the answer to cellulite. By massaging, exfoliating and washing the area near your cellulite with a coarse loofah sponge, you may reduce it. It can help get rid of toxins and build muscle tone as it works to break down cellulite. If you are able to do it a couple of times a week for a month or two you will see the change.

Why not make your own cellulite cream. If you think creams could work for you, consider making your own. Mix a carrier oil such as almond oil with essential oils of carrot, coriander, thyme together and rub into cellulite areas. It is also believed that a mix of coffee grounds with a cream or oil will break up cellulite deposits.

Exercising is recommended. Try doing some ‘cellulite squats’ by moving from side to side by shifting your weight from one leg to the other. This will result in better muscle tone and may loosen cellulite deposits.

No matter what life stage you are at, whether you are young or old, Cellulite is bothersome and interferes with your happiness. Catch it early by following these tricks.

You will see a change in your physique in record time.
